A Winery Acquisition

Our company’s acquisitions continue to translate into sustainable growth. The acquisition of operations at Glass House Estate Winery marks the first of its kind for us and we attribute the seamless acquisition to our long-standing relationship with the de Jong family. Ryan Moreno shared, “Wine has been a passion of ours since the beginning and remains a vital part of any culinary experience. We’re very excited to continue to build upon the boutique wine experience that the de Jong family has created at Glass House Estate Winery.”

Glass House Estate Winery is a family-run vineyard located in South Langley. Owned and operated by the de Jong family, the name pays tribute to the family’s 60-year history in the greenhouse industry. The family enlisted a European winemaker to develop a protocol utilizing a minimalist approach to winemaking which highlights each varietal’s best characteristics. The protocol only uses free run juices, creating an exceptional and unique product and experience for consumers.

The winery will reflect our reputation as a premiere hospitality provider, ensuring the guest experience and product offerings remain consistently exceptional and placed at the forefront. We’ve appointed Philippe Renaud as Managing Director, responsible for overseeing all operations.

Margit de Jong says, “It has been a true blessing to have my parents’ dream be realized and become a success. We are very excited to have the Joseph Richard Group build upon this legacy and take it to the next level.”
