Onboarding

The Joseph Richard Group provides an in-depth onboarding and training path for new hires. The next stage of the training path is determined by the role in which the employee has been hired for and ranges from a total of 4 days up to 14 days for Servers & Bartenders. A service leader is also required to complete 5 days of shadow training prior to taking on a leadership role.

Professional Development

Joseph Richard University (JRU) provides ongoing professional development and growth. We operate the following 3 levels of training seminars to encourage career growth and advancement:

  • 100 Level: A series of seminars and coursework designed for servers and bartenders that are motivated to achieve the highest levels of hospitality, service standards and product knowledge including food, liquor, wine & beer
  • 200 Level: Ongoing training and education to learn how to manage restaurant operations and effectively lead a team
  • 300 Level: Ongoing training and professional development in business management, emotional intelligence, and leadership skills
