Surrey, BC (Thursday, August 4, 2016) – The Joseph Richard Group hosted our annual ‘Christmas in July’ event on July 23 at all JRG Public Houses in BC and Alberta.  The event was created to help raise proceeds for local food banks during a traditionally slower time of year for fundraising.  Each store was tasked with retrofitting their locations to look and feel like Christmas while also working with local partners to provide prizing that was used to generate donations.

This year’s event was another success as $9, 859.90 was raised between all of the stores in addition to over a thousand pounds of non-perishable food items.  The General Managers of the individual stores will be delivering the donations to their local food banks over the coming weeks.

On behalf of the Joseph Richard Group, thank you to all of our guests who continue to support our community efforts with cash donations, our staff who worked to create the event and to all of our local business partners who generously gifts for auction.

Stay tuned for future JRG Community Events this fall, including our annual Community Day which takes place in December at each location.  For more information on how one of our locations can get involved directly with your organization, please contact our Director of Marketing & Brand, Jared Harman at
